Shelley Murphy has contributed a list whose presence on line will make a major impact for years to come. As she was uncertain as to her ancestor Parley's town of residence in Herkimer County, I'd not been able come up with a volunteer assignment that was a good fit for her research needs that could be her contribution to the site. One day Shelley mentioned to me that she had a copy of this cemetery list. She's been working on it bit by bit and even coded it in proper format. Shelley's family info below brings up several surnames mentioned in other Herkimer/Montgomery queries. We hope some of you can help her with either direct information from your own research or clues as to the Eaton Co., Michigan migration.

"I am particularly interested in finding information on my great-great grandfather Parley WORDEN. He was believed to be born in Herkimer County NY around 1796-1799. He married Lydorianna BOYER around 1836 or before. The Worden couple left Herkimer County in 1836 and relocated to Eaton County, Michigan in 1837. So far I have not been able to locate any information on Parley Worden and his family. My family has been searching roots over 20 years. Everyone searching the Worden line that revolves around Parley in NY has came to a dead end. If anyone has any information on the WORDENs please email or sign my guest book on my home page: http://hometown.aol.com/keli1/myhomepage/index.html

Also need information on the following: marriage record of Johannes BOYER, b.ca.1730 in NY, d. 06 May 1810, Manheim, Herk. Co. NY. He mar. Anna/Anni____. Some believe her last name is Gartrant or Garter, dau. of Johannes GARTRANT/GARTER. This is unproven. The 6th child of Johannes & Anna Boyer was Elizabeth, b. 05 Jan 1768 (The Lutheran Church of Stone Arabia). Death date unknown. She married John Joseph NEWMAN, 20 May 1786 (source unknown). Need parents of John Joseph Newman & birth or baptismal record. Elizabeth & John J. Newman's 5th child was Stephen Newman, b. 16 June 1793, Herk. Co. NY, d. 16 Mar 1870, Herk. Co. NY. He mar. Delia RITTER, ca. 1814. possibly Herk. Co. NY. Need birth or baptism and parents of Delia Ritter and a marriage record to Stephen Newman. The 6th child of Johannes & Anna Bajer/Boyer was Henry Bajer/Boyer, b. or bpt. 17 Jan 1773, Manheim, Herk. Co. NY, d. 22 Sept 1861 in Eaton Co., MI. Married Sarah MARSELIS, 21 May 1793 at Reformed Dutch Church of German Flatts, Herk Co. NY, the possible dau. of Ahasueres/Sueres Marselis & Maria/Anna Maria VROOMAN. This is unproven. Sarah d. 18 Jan 1841, Manheim, Herk.Co., NY. Need birth of bapt. record of Sarah Marselis & parents."

Commentary re: dates and wife of Lt. Peter Loucks from Jerome Walrath:

    Shelley,
I note that you have it incorrect that Lt. Peter Loucks was married to Anna Stam. You also have the death date as incorrect, with him dying at the age of 73yrs. 6mos. 28days. If the year of birth is correct then 1746 or 1747 to 1814 does not compute. Something is wrong. The Stamm/Stam Genealogy has this information as being "Recorded in the Death Register" although to which Death Register it is referring is not noted. The dates in the genealogy show Anna Stamm as 1747-1832. I know that you mentioned the Herkimer Reformed Church Records but is it possible that is a mistake. I have found many church records that were transcribed from German to English, or just re- copied, had entries on the wrong line. I know it is a trivial item as there was no issue but I will have to correct the genealogy and send the same to the descendants of the originator.
    Jerome (Jerry) Walrath
