      Well I suppose you have gave up by now of hearing from me. I have just been to busy. But that is not all just lazy also. I sure was surprised when I saw your letter. So Jr. is a sailor now. I hope he likes it. I can not say but what I like the Army O.K. If I could be in what I wanted it would be a lot better but that isn't the army. I like things big & heavy all but the women. But what you like and what you get are two different things. My outfit is O.K. You said some thing about Hockey. I have not seen a pair of ice skates for two years now or more. I saw snow once this year. Hope to see those six foot snow banks again some day.
      Well Iva I have been doing prettty good for myself over here. I have me a Limey gal. Us fellows manage to get a few drinks now and then. I haven't been drunk since I have been over here, not bad is it. Well I must close. Write when you can.

      I received your letter tonite. I was glad to hear from you. You asked how I am. Well I am fine. But you have had a scared cousin. Let me tell you you probably know that I was in on the invasion. Ben no doubt was hauling us but not where I was. I hope him & Joe came through O.K. I would not know Ben if I saw him. The good Lord must have been with me. I only Hope he stays with me. My Limey gal is O.K. If I come through this I expect to bring her back with me. She writes every other day to me at least. The beer over there was terrible but we have a drink here called coniach that will really knock you out. Seems to be a lot of hard cider and champagne and this coniach around but I don't touch much of it only to liven me up a little. Its bad business now. Well cousin best I close & crawl in my little hole in ground. Thanks for the prayer. It seems some one is praying for us. Write.
