Frank B. Kelly comes through the Phasma Communicator again!
As I am working on the Rout family genealogy (William M. Rout) today, the Phasma communicator displayed the photo of Frank B. Kelly. William M. Rout was also a policeman, and he and Frank B. Kelly must have worked together in the same precinct. They also were living next door to one another in 1910.
It appears that William M. Rout may have joined the police force in 1897. Was that Frank B. Kelly communicating with me through the PhasmaCommunicator, telling me the year 1897, the same time as I was researching William M. Rout?

AUTO KILLS A BOY NEAR HIS PARENTS

Policeman Rout's Son Said to Have Run in Front of Car.

While romping within a few feet of his father and mother near the new building of the bureau of engraving and printing at 8 o'clock last night, 8-year-old Willie M. Rout, only son of Policeman William Rout, 1312 Florida Avenue northwest, was so badly crushed by an automobile that he died a few minutes later while being taken to the Emergency Hospital by his father.
Henry Grossman, 341 I street southwest, chauffeur, in the employ of C. M. Gusack, 643 Maryland Avenue northeast, operating the machine which ran over the child, was held pending the outcome of an inquest which probably will be held today. Seven other young men who were in the machine were released. Grossman and his companions told the police that the child had just alighted from his parents' automobile, and suddenly ran from the rear of the machine, which was standing by the roadside, under the wheels of their car. Grossman brought his machine to a halt before the rear wheel of the car had passed over the childs' body.
