Mrs. E. S. Bourcy Dies at Rosiere

Mrs. Elizabeth Reff Bourcy, 79, wife of Eugene S. Bourcy, died at her home in Rosiere Saturday evening at 9:30, after suffering a heart attack at 5 p.m. She had been at work about the house during the day and death came suddenly.
Mrs. Bourcy was born January 13, 1857, at Rosiere, the daughter of John and Julia Krasbach Reff, natives of Germany. She was married twice. Her first husband, Peter Zimmerman, died about 32 years ago. She was married to Mr. Bourcy on November 14, 1905, by the Rev. Damase Guilbault, pastor of the St. Vincent de Paul's church. She and her husband resided on a farm until eight years ago when they retired and moved to their present home at Rosiere. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul church, Rosiere, and belonged to the Altar and Rosary society of the church.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene S. Bourcy; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Stumph, of Rosiere; a step-daughter, Mrs. Edith Mussot, of Rosiere; three brothers, Nicholas H. Reff, of Cape Vincent, George and William Reff, of Frazee, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Alfred King of Frazee, Minn.; five grandchildren, Bertha, Garna Stumph, Marie, Frances and Reta Mussot, Rosiere, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held from the home at 9:30 Tuesday morning and from St. Vincent de Paul's church, Rosiere, at 10. Rev. Michael J. Kelly, pastor of the church, officiated. Burial was made in St. Vincent de Paul's cemetery, Rosiere.
