Yes, the ship was built in 1829 in Bath, Maine, by W.G. Farrin and owned by Jas. H. McLellan. This information is found in the book A Maritime History of Bath, Maine and the Kennebec River Region by William Avery Baker. There are no photographs of the ship Charles in our collection. Perhaps there may be paintings or drawings of the ship but again, we do not have in our collection. As to your question pertaining to the amount of trips made by Charles to and from Havre, France, this question is still being researched.
