      Couple to Observe 50th Anniversary

      Rosiere - Mr. and Mrs Albert M. Reff, Clayton, Route 2, will observe their golden anniversary Jan. 17 with an open house Sunday, Jan. 22, from 2 to 4 pm., at the home of their sister-in-law, Mrs. Leo (Erma) McKeever, Rosiere- St. Lawrence road.
      Miss Anna L. McKeever, daughter of James and Mary Docteur McKeever, and Albert M. Reff, son of Joseph and Julia Bourcy Reff, were married January 17, 1917, in St. Vincent De Paul's church, Rosiere, by Msgr. Joseph C. Tierney, then pastor. Mr. and Mrs. Reff were the first couple Monsignor Tierney married after becoming pastor at Rosiere.
      The couple was attended by Genevieve McKeever Reff, sister of the bride, and Neil Reff, brother of the bride-groom.
      Mr. and Mrs Reff operated a farm near Rosiere for 32 years. In 1946 [1948?], they moved to their present home on McKeever road. Mr. Reff was employed by the town of Cape Vincent, and also did carpentry work. He retired in 1960.
      Both Mr. and Mrs. Reff enjoy good health. Mr. Reff cares for a small garden and does essential chores around the house. Mrs. Reff does her own housework, and enjoys sewing and ambridering. They have no children.
