    Dear Mr. Kennedy,

I am in search of a marriage record of two of my direct ancestors:

Ferdinand Besha (other surname spellings: Bichet, Bisha, Biche)
    and
Anna Fitzpatrick (other known first name variants from census records: Anastasia, Stacia)

The 1910 census reveals that they had been married for 32 years, which puts the marriage near 1878, give or take a year. A newspaper obituary for Ferdinand says he was a communicant of the Catholic church in Evans Mills at the time of his death (1933), so I am thinking that they were most likely married at St. Mary's church in 1878, in Evans Mills?.
Please check any records that you may have to find the marriage record of these two people. If you do not find the marriage record with your available resources, please advise as to whom I should contact.
Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

Attn: Rev. Richard Kennedy, M.S.C., Pastor

    Dear Rev. Kennedy:

Recently, I contacted Fr. Bernard Jackubco of the St. Mary's parish in Evans Mills in search of

    1. a baptism record
of Mary Bichet, born Aug. 6, 1880, bapt. Sept 1880
Parents: Ferdinand Bichet and Anna Fitzpatrick

    and

    2. a marriage record
of Ferdinand Bichet and Anna Fitzpatrick (parents of Mary Bichet above)
They were married between 1875 and 1879. (I think the year is 1878, but not certain.)

Mr. Jackubco was unable to locate the records and kindly passed the request along to your location.

Someone in your parish then sent me (via postal mail) a copy of a portion of a page of a record book containing the baptism record in question. Although this unkown person was unable to locate the marriage record in question, I would like to thank that person for sending the baptism information.

    Questions to clarify:
    1. From what book did the baptism record come?
Please send a photo copy of the front page of the record book for my records. And also please send a copy of the entire page on which the baptism record appears.
The reason for asking for these copies is to accurately document the sources of the information (book title, page number and complete recorded date) for my genealogical record keeping.

    2. Can you please double-check your records for the marriage record in question? It is hard to imagine that there is no record of this marriage in your records, since their daughter's baptism record was found. The marriage event took place approximately 1878. I know this since the 1910 census revealed that they had been married for 32 years. They were most likely married in St. Mary's Catholic church (Evans Mills) at the time.

Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely,

    Paul Kelly

Subject: Marriage record: Ferdinand Besha and Anna Fitzpatrick

    Hello!

I am hoping that someone at your parish can help me.

I am searching for a marriage record of two of my ancestors:

Ferdinand Besha (other surname spellings: Bichet, Bisha, Biche)
    and
Anna Fitzpatrick (other known first name variants from census records: Anastasia, Stacia)
    Married in 1878?

The 1910 census (LeRay) reveals that they had been married for 32 years, which puts the marriage near 1878, give or take a year. A newspaper obituary for Ferdinand says he was a communicant of the Catholic church in Evans Mills at the time of his death (1933), so I am thinking that they were most likely married in a Catholic church near 1878. I have already checked with St. Mary's in Evans Mills with no luck, so I am hoping that St. James is the right church. I do know that their daughter, Mary Besha was married in St. James, but not certain of where her parents were married.
Please check any records that you may have to find the marriage record of these two people. If you do not find the marriage record with your available resources, please advise as to whom I should contact.
Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
